DISCLAIMER: The quantity above is based on what the pattern designer used with their specific tension and the size of the end product stated below. Each person crochets with a different tension, some crochet loosely and some tightly. If you are crocheting tightly it's likely that you will end up with a smaller item and use less yarn. Not to worry though, we have some free patterns on our blog and we will be adding more, so you can use up your extra yarn. If you crochet very loosely you might end up with a bigger size item and run out of yarn, therefore you might want to consider adding to the cart an extra ball of each colour just in case (especially if you are from outside the UK).

OPTIONAL EXTRAS NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT NOT INCLUDED IN THIS YARN KIT

(you can buy all of them from our Haberdashery & Accessories section separately)

    ABOUT THE PROJECT:

    PATTERN BY: Crochet Arcade

    DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Experienced

Baby blankets are a must for any new born, providing that extra layer of warmth for when they’re asleep in their cot, out for a walk in a pushchair or on the move in a car seat. They also provide babies with a feeling of security, quickly becoming their preferred item to touch and feel. Safe to say, a crochet blanket that turns into a toy when folded and even works as a playmat becomes even more loveable still, as a 3-in-1 item any baby will cherish!

The Cuddle and Play Giraffe Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern although the advanced level has been designed with beginners in mind. Over twenty-eight pages, it explains each step of the process in simple terms, including a plethora of pattern notes, more than sixty tutorial photos and links to video tutorials showing how to do the hardest parts. You’ll also find a useful marking method included so you know exactly where to attach any embroidered parts such as the eyes and attach ears. Also included is a one-page instruction sheet explaining how your crochet giraffe baby blanket turns into a plush toy, which is perfect when yours is being gifted to a friend.

    Very impressed

To be honest! I was absolutely impressed what quality these yarns are! Started to crochet giraffe and every day realising more and more that want to keep it for myself. Not only because the pattern is amazing, but mostly because of the yarns. They are sooooo soft! There is massive difference between ordinary baby acrylic and these ones. Definitely would use only dreamywool for the baby blankets.

    Cuddle and Play Giraffe Kit

Mandy Coventry "Bought one of the Dreamy Wool Cuddle and Play Giraffe kits, was totally blown away by the quality.
Box packed with everything needed to make one of the Cuddle and Play Giraffes, Pattern, yarn, stuffing, embroidery thread and darning needle.
Pattern suitable for an intermediate crocheter, or someone confident in crocheting graphghans. Clear concise instructions with brilliant visual guides to keep you on the straight and narrow. It was my very first graphghan so I appreciated the written pattern instructions. The Dreamy Yarn was a pleasure to work with, soft but robust, gave a beautiful sturdy drape ( needed to maintain toy shape when folded).
Thrilled to bits with the end result…. In fact it was sold within minutes of me posting a picture to my friends.
A really lovely project, ideal for baby showers, birthday and Christmas presents, either the Snuggle and Play blanket ready made….or for that special friend that loves to craft.
Well deserved of it’s 5* rating"
